Our story
We didn't invent any of it.That's the point.
The first batch came out of our kitchen in Austin.
Where it started
It started with seed oils. Once you notice how much of what you put on your body is industrial oil, water and lab chemistry, you stop being able to un-notice it.
Tallow, beeswax and clay were already here, and already worked, long before anyone built a factory to improve on them. Nothing in the tin had to be synthesized to exist.
So we rendered a batch in our kitchen in Austin. It's still made here, still poured in small batches, and there is still nothing in it we wouldn't put on our own faces.
Nothing added
None of this is in the tin.
Turn over anything on the shelf beside us and you'll find several of these. Every one of them is doing a job — spreading, foaming, coloring, or keeping the product alive on a shelf for three years. Not one of those jobs is making your skin better.

We add none of them.
Nothing industrial
No canola, no soybean, no sunflower. Not in any batch.
Natural sources only
If it had to be made in a lab to exist, it doesn't go in the tin.
Nothing to preserve
If it needs a chemical to keep from spoiling, we didn't make it.
Essential oil, or nothing
Cedar and vetiver. Never a fragrance blend.
